Product Description
Lavandula x intermedia 'Grosso'
Common name: English Lavender.
Zones 5 to 9.
Full sun; to flower, Lavender must be grown in full sun.
Plants reach 24 to 30 inches tall and 18 to 24 inches wide.
Growth rate: Moderate, erect herbaceous clump-forming perennial. Plump, violet-blue flower spikes fill the air with their sweet fragrance from late summer into early fall. L. intermedia tends to bloom a bit later in the summer with a possible repeat bloom towards fall. 'Grosso' is a cross between L. angustifolia and L. latifolia and is a larger plant overall than these species. These hybrids were first developed in France for use in perfumes and essential oils. Its long flower stems make this variety especially good for use in bouquets.
