The EverColor® Carex series hails from Patrick FitzGerald’s nursery, on land his family has farmed since the 1700s. It’s a modern facility near an ancient town, Kilkenny, famed for structures dating to the 9th Century.

EverColor® Carex are an evergreen variety that performs best in light to partial shade and rich soil with dry to average moisture. It tends to suffer in extreme heat. In northern climates, it should be sited out of the way of winter winds and provided with some protection such as snow or straw. If plants look tattered in early spring, cut them back to the ground. The new foliage will quickly fill back in
