GOLD STANDARD Hosta (Banyai 1976)
Large.
Broad leaves, creamy yellow with variable dark green margin.
Mature size - 36 inches wide x 20 inch height.
Pinkish, lavender flower.
Margin develops with the season.
Gold Standard needs mid-season sunlight for its chartreuse center to turn to gold. With too much sun too early, the center could turn first to gold and then to a light creamy white or a near white. In a very shady site, it may become yellowish-green.
