A sport of the very popular Calamagrostis a. 'Karl Foerster'. Green leaves have a bright golden yellow midribs and golden flower stems. Upright, clumping habit. Feathery plumes appear in early summer and last all season long.
C. ' Eldorado ' prefers to be grown in full sun and well-drained soil. Be sure to provide plenty of moisture in extremely hot weather. Cut back to 6 in. in spring before new growth begins. Propagate by division in either spring or fall.
