We ship many plants year round and endeavor to ship plants within one week of the order date, or on the requested date. If you would like a shipment during the months of November through February, please request a ship date when you order. Unless an earlier ship date is confirmed, we will use the below shipping schedule chart as a guide for first ship dates of bare root plants to the respective Zones.

Unless you request a specific ship date, the following chart is our first ship date guide for most bare root plants.

* The type of plant you order, or the weather in our area, or yours, may affect the anticipated shipping schedule;
** Flats, Elles, potted plants and bare root roses may be shipped up to 30 days earlier than the above dates;
*** Did we mention Mother Nature may effect the shipping schedule?

In the event of excessive hot weather conditions, we may limit shipment of certain plants from mid-June through mid-August.

Substitutions: If an item you order is unavailable or does not meet our quality standards, we will contact you prior to sending a substitution.

Shipping charges:
Shipping charges for most plant items and Flats (of 18 to 72 plants count as 1 item):
gray states - $6.00 for the first item plus $1.00 for each additional item,
red states - $6.40 for the first item plus $1.40 for each additional item,
blue states- $6.60 for the first item plus $1.60 for each additional item,
unless an additional amount is noted (for example base rose rate is $2.00, instead of $1.00).

Hardgood products are typically shipped UPS Ground within 3 to 14 days, often direct from the manufacturer. Shipping costs are calculated via the Shopping Cart based on the product and destination.

Paid in full orders placed by 12:00 pm ET on Friday, unless requested otherwise, are shipped the following Monday or Tuesday, subject to availability, weather and backlog. Many plants are shipped year round. Orders received in March, April and May may anticipate a one to two week processing delay due to volume. Plant orders ten pounds or less are usually shipped USPS Priority Mail; larger packages via UPS Ground.

We guarantee our plants to arrive at your doorstep healthy, viable, true to variety and labeled; no substitutions without your approval. Plant are carefully identified, packaged and shipped. Many are shipped bare root and should be unpacked immediately, and either potted or planted.

Plants are reserved upon payment. A projected availability date should be noted if a plant is not currently available for sale. We only accept orders for and ship mature plants, unless otherwise noted or agreed to.
