Plants reach 22 to 24 inches tall and 18 to 30 inches wide, may spread by rhizomes. Herbaceous perennial with generally upright habit that typically grows in a mounded clump.
Variegated lemon- yellow and green, finely-dissected foliage are aromatic when bruised. The tiny, whitish, flower heads appear in dense panicles at the stem ends in summer.
