Common Name: Coral Bells
'Toffee Tart' displays differing shades of ginger caramel throughout the seasons. In spring, newest leaves are amber with a silver overlay. Mature leaves are ginger color with silver overlay. In late summer, leaves mature to green. Since it's a lighter leaf color, we recommend providing at some shade protection (do not plant in full sun). Creamy white flowers are held on burgundy stems. Perfect for brightening up landscapes or serving as a filler in combination containers.
Coral bells are easy to grow and blend easily with most other perennials in the landscape. Because of their low, mounding habit, they are often used as edging along paths or in containers. Try cutting a few of the tall flower scapes for fresh bouquets.
