THYMUS serpyllum 'Pink Chintz'
a/k/a creeping thyme, mother-of-thyme, wild thyme
Zone: 4 to 9.
Sun.
Mature size: 1 to 3 inches height; 2 feet wide. Creeping, cascading habit.
Long-blooming, light pink flowers will be one of the first thymes to flower each year. Tiny, rounded, fragrant, fuzzy, olive green leaves form a flat evergreen mat in warm winter climates.
Grow in average, dry to medium, well-drained soils. Drought tolerant, but grows robustly with plenty of water. Cut back stems as necessary to maintain plant appearance or to control growth.
Use in containers; as ground cover for small areas, in border fronts, herb gardens, rock gardens or between stepping stones. Tolerates some foot traffic. For culinary purposes, leaves taste and strength will vary according to habitat and season. Attracts bees and butterflies; deer and rabbit resistant.
*Sold as a Flat of eighteen (18) plants in four (4) inch pots. Each Flat counts as one item when calculating shipping cost.
