SEDUM makinoi 'Ogon'
a/k/a stonecrop.
Zone: 6 to 9.
Full sun to light shade.
Mature size: 2 inch height, forms a dense mat creeping to 12 inches wide or more.
Tiny bright gold, round leaves with pink flush. Small, star-like, yellow-green flowers in late spring - summer. Best golden leaf color usually occurs with some afternoon shade. 'Ogon' is not as cold hardy as some sedums.
Grow in average, medium to wet, well-drained soil; somewhat soil tolerant except for wet, poorly-drained soils. Excellent groundcover in sunny to partly shaded areas, in rock gardens, along paths and in containers. Drought and heat tolerant, once established. Deer resistant.
