Overlapping petals of magenta purple with plum rings around the centers. Thick, grey-green, evergreen foliage.
Prefers loose, well-drained, neutral to slightly alkaline soils. Tolerant of short periods of drought. Use in rock gardens, scented gardens and for a border. With the scent of clove, this fragrant member of the carnation family blooms in early summer, and will rebloom in the fall if spent flowers are removed. Recent Plant Haven introduction from breeder John Whetman of HR Whetman and Son in Devon, England.
