Chrysogonum 'Green and Gold'
Zone: 5 to 9.
Sun to Shade, usually requires moist soil in full sun.

Shiny, deep green foliage; with one-inch, star-shaped, yellow flowers. Flowers in spring, and sporadically throughout the summer. Semi-evergreen; low-growing plant similar in structure to Ajuga.
Green and gold will adapt to most soil conditions, if it is moist and well-drained. It is also sun tolerant, although partial or full shade is recommended in southern regions; not very drought tolerant.
A native groundcover ideal for the woodland garden, or as a border and tolerates limited foot traffic.
