Mature size: 2 to 3 feet tall, 3 to 4 feet wide; dense and compact evergreen shrub. Fast grower.
Leaves emerge with a pinkish cast on the crimson stems, matures to dark green, then turns purple-green in winter. Small, fragrant white trumpet flowers bloom spring through summer. Small pink modified leaves at the base of each flower remain once the bloom fades.
Excellent foundation plant for continuous seasonal color. Use as low hedge or in containers. Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Feed with a general purpose fertilizer before new growth begins in spring. For a neat appearance, shear annually to shape.
Attracts butterflies and Deer resistant.
