Towering 5 foot tree-like pillar of blooms from late summer into early fall. Trumpet-shaped, fragrant, small 2.5 to 3.5-inch, light canary yellow flowers are produced in clusters of 3 to 4 on 7-way branched scapes carrying a whopping total of 55-100 buds apiece. The scapes rise high above the clump of slender, green leaves. At 5 feet, a plant that fills a niche in the back of the border that few other perennials can this late in the season.
