Phlox LAURA
Zones 3 to 8; Sun.
Tall showy summer phlox with fragrant flowers in mid-to-late summer. Deep purple with white star center and dark eye.
Dense, compact foliage with deep green, lance-shaped leaves with prominent veins.
Plants grow 3 to 4 feet tall and 2 to 3 feet wide. Plant about 18 to 20 inches apart in rich, well-drained soil. Full sun or Partial shade. Very easy care.
A favorite hybrid phlox, also called summer lilac, that will attract butterflies. Excellent for perennial borders, corners, and for cut flowers.
Reported to be mildew-free, even in the south,
but we cannot make that statement.
