Up to 30 inches tall (if staked) and 3 feet wide. Arching upright habit.
Soft lavender-blue flowers will start to bloom early summer in the south and mid-summer for northern climates. Blooms for long periods, especially if plants are sheared after bloom. Gray-green, aromatic foliage becomes very fragrant when the stems are broken. Related to true catnip (N. cataria), nepetalactone is not potent enough in this variety to be a strong attraction for cats.
Drought tolerant, once established in well drained, average soil. Attracts butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, but not deer or rabbits. Growth rate is considered moderate in northern zones and rapid for the south.
Use for flower borders, as a groundcover, in container, in rock garden, or for cut flowers.
Plants are sterile, so propagate in the spring by division, or cuttings in summer.
Shipped bare root.
