Erigeron (her-rij-er-on) Fleabane; Asteraceae Family. A large genus, containing many attractive plants, with several of them native to various parts of North America. Erigeron should be planted in full sun and average, dry to medium, well-drained soils. Good drainage is vital for this plant. Erigeron tolerates some light shade, particularly in hot summer climates. Erigeron may freely self-seed in favorable growing conditions.
